DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE LABORATORY:

Research Lab 2 (LPII) belongs to the Computer Research Center – CPComp. Created to supply the research demands of the Computing Division of the Institute of Mathematics and Computing (IMC), CPComp is an internal IMC Center that include research laboratories, composing a space intended exclusively (or predominantly) for the production of scientific and technological knowledge. Currently, LPII houses the research work of teacher Alexandre Carlos Brandão Ramos, involving: 1) Research and development of remotely piloted aircraft control and guidance systems – RPAS. 2) Research and development of software systems for real time digital image processing for object recognition. 3) Training in development of control systems, fixed wing aerodynamics and RPAS simulators. 4) Development of interfaces for helicopter pilot training. 5) Development of training systems for Neonatal ICU. 6) Development of software system for frailty assessment in the elderly.
