Nucleus of Compact Separators – NUSEC

The Nucleus of Compact Separators (NUSEC) was founded in 1996 by a joint venture between UNIFEI and Petrobras, aiming to develop more compact and efficient equipment for emulsion treatment and to generate knowledge and technology to be directly applied in the oil industry.

NUSEC has since been actively involved in the development of centrifuges, hydrocyclones and other equipment for water-oil separation, having also developed other equipment along with Petrobras, such as a cyclonic valve for flow control with low emulsion generation potential. The Nucleus also counts on state-of-the-art technology for emulsion characterization and measuring.
