Physics (Bachelor Degree)

Become a physicist with solid theoretical and practical training.

Challenge your mind and sharpen your curiosity! Understand the environment and natural laws, from the quantum to the cosmological world.

Questions about natural phenomena and their laws are part of the context that define a Physicist’s work.

The undergraduate program in Physics at UNIFEI offers students an extensive training in Basic Physics, as well as the opportunity of specialization in certain Physics areas, aiming for either an academic career or the job market.

The program offers its students the opportunity to choose their professional emphasis in four specific areas: areas: Astrophysics, Physics of Condensed Matter, Field and Particle Theory, or Physics of Atmospheric Phenomena. The program lasts eight semesters, with classes taking place during the evening. The first four semesters are dedicated to general training in Basic Physics, while the second half of the program is a professional sequence.

UNIFEI’s Graduate Program in Physics counts on highly skilled professors, who develop internationally renowned research. Undergraduate students may also develop high quality research in our laboratories, as well as in UNIFEI’s partner institutions, such as the National Laboratory of Astrophysics (LNA), which is also located in Itajubá.
