UNIFEI’s Industrial Engineering program prepares its students for the global market, focusing on integrated development and increase of quality of life.


The new market trends (with increasingly customized products, smaller and more varied batches) require solutions to produce with flexibility, greater speed, quality assurance and attractive prices. The Industrial Engineer a new professional prepared to act accurately in managerial processes, leveraging the productive system of goods and services in quantitative and qualitative terms.

The Industrial Engineering must have the skills and competencies needed to act in process choices, labor management, safety, product design, environmental management, production, and maintenance management. This way, the Industrial Engineer ensures the production of high-quality goods and services, with productivity and social responsibility, being able to meet the increasing and variable demands imposed by the technological, social and economic societal changes, through a proactive stance in their professional activities.

UNIFEI’s program prepares industrial engineers with more than just specialized knowledge. Subjects are developed in partnership with companies, intending to apply concepts and allowing the contemplation on the professional practice. Such engineers will be prepared to produce knowledge, that is, to make their professional activity a constant research activity, seeking new answers to the old questions, and defining possibilities for standardized solutions.
