Environmental Engineering

Dedicated to conservating and recovering Earth’s natural resources.

UNIFEI’s program develops skills and competences in the knowledge, preservation and recovery of natural resources.

UNIFEI’s Environmental Engineering program prepares technically qualified professionals to design, execute and manage projects in different activity fields and in different socioeconomic, cultural and environmental contexts.

Another objective is to prepare professionals able to recognize, interpret and diagnose positive and negate environmental impact, evaluate the level of environmental damage and propose solutions according to current environmental legislation, in all society fields and in their environmental, social, economic and technological dimensions, aiming to promote national, regional and local sustainable development.

It aims to meet societal demands in general and in its different productive sectors, based on the engineer’s solid training to contribute to the sustainable development of society.

UNIFEI’s program prepares environmental engineers to work independently or in a team, to develop reflexive, critical and creative thinking, to work with basic computational and computing tools, and to interpret the physical phenomena involved in their field.

This holistic vision, involving the technological, social, cultural, economic and environmental spheres, is paramount for professionals.
