The engineer responsible for the development of new products and technologies.
Electronics are present everywhere and an Electronic Engineer must know the correct technology for each one.
Electronics are present in virtually every place, from homes to more hostile industrial environments. Much of the current infrastructures, such as hospitals, airports, traffic, businesses and telecommunications are commanded, controlled or supported by electronic devices.
Electronic Engineering is responsible for preparing professionals who will develop the technologies and products needed for each of these applications. During the program, students will develop skills in several areas, such as programming, analog and digital electronics, power circuits, telecommunications and control systems, as well as a solid foundation in mathematics and physics.
UNIFEI’s Electronic Engineering program has as its main goal to prepare its students with a transversal and multidisciplinary approach. As such, active learning methodologies have been implemented in several subjects, presenting real problems so students can propose useful solutions for the industry. The program also offers four project-specific subjects, focused the development of electronic equipment.
The program is also partnered with research centers, some of with are national references in their knowledge areas. The students’ group work puts them in touch with high technology laboratories and leading research, mainly in the areas of microelectronics, biomedicine, power electronics and onboard systems areas.
