UNIFEI’s Electrical Engineering program aims to prepare human resources with a solid technological and scientific knowledge foundation, in order to learn, develop, generate and disseminate knowledge in the Electrical Engineering area in its related fields, contributing to rational, ethical and sustainable society development.

It offers its students a wide range of knowledge, in which we can highlight areas such as: electrical power generation, transmission, distribution, and commercialization involving the notions of quality, reliability, stability, operation, and safety of electrical systems. It also focus on the development of entrepreneurship abilities, engineering products and solutions; the improvement of communication skills to carry out work in multidisciplinary teams; and carrying out innovative research in several areas of electrical engineering.

The program’s infrastructure includes Centers of Excellence and Laboratories, allowing students to develop knowledge by practicing it and emulating the job market environment.

UNIFEI’s Electrical Engineer will be able to act in the following areas: electrical power generation, conversion and distribution; development of electrical circuits and applied electronics; control and automation of industrial systems; operating and driving electrical machines, among others. Their role is to comprehend, operate, enhance and develop electrical systems that contribute to socioeconomic development and to improving society’s quality of life.
